I grew up in a small town in West Bengal with no network, no exposure, no big opportunities. No agency was going to hand me a client. No investor was going to take a village kid's cold email. So I did the only thing available to me: I got skilled, in public, over and over — content writing, then sports journalism, then YouTube production, then digital marketing, then web development. Each skill unlocked the next room, until AI became the accelerant that let me build and ship faster than any single skill ever had on its own.

My path started in a chemistry lab, not a code editor. I finished a Master's in Chemistry, then built a full-time career in video production and content strategy — not exactly the pipeline into AI engineering. I taught myself React, TypeScript and applied machine learning on nights and weekends, then went and proved it: shipping my own AI products end to end, and building three serious fintech prototypes — a lending risk model, a loan-default predictor and a decentralized identity system — for a national bank's 2026 innovation challenge.

Neither of us came in through the "normal" door. What we had instead was proof: real products, live repositories, hackathon submissions real industry judges actually reviewed. Korvanta exists because we got tired of watching AI agencies sell confidence they hadn't earned. We'd rather show you the code.

Founder & AI Systems Lead

Self-taught AI and full-stack builder with 6+ years spanning content, digital marketing and applied AI. Before Korvanta, Arpan independently delivered 200+ freelance projects and led builds including NexFluid, a production e-commerce platform with 50,000+ SKUs shipped full stack in under two months, and AI Plant Expert, an AI-powered plant care app with photo-based species identification and disease diagnostics. Leads technical architecture and AI systems at Korvanta.

Asmita Karmakar

Co-Founder & Product Engineering Lead
